Korn recently stopped in Ohio while on their summer tour and Hazy Eye Media’s “Man in the Midwest” Bill Garman was there to catch these classic metal masters at work. It was a soundboard show for the photographers, but well worth it for a fan of the band. The tour features Helmet and Evanescence as special guests. This show took place at the Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, OH on 8/23/22.

Anyway, in this photo flashback we’re viewing Bill’s pics of Korn (from the soundboard). Be sure to check the Official Korn Website for music, videos, news, and all upcoming tour dates. All images copyright and courtesy of Bill Garman.

The tour features headliners Rob Zombie and Mudvayne with Static-X, and Powerman 5000 as special guests. No, you didn’t time travel back to 2000. This show took place at the Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, OH on 8/3/22.

If you don’t know, Rob Zombie is a rock musician and filmmaker who has continuously explored and challenged his creativity when it comes to his music and films. Fans revere him for his horror-themed and shock rock music style. Anyway, in this photo flashback we’re viewing Bill’s pics of Rob Zombie. Megadeth (Photo by Andy Jillson)

The Metal Tour Of The Year made a second stop while in New Jersey, and I was fortunate enough to be there. Megadeth and Lamb of God collectively blew the minds and eardrums of everyone in attendance. The sound and lighting at this show was amazing. Both heavy metal giants performed flawless sets in a beautiful amphitheater. This was my third time seeing the tour. Overall, I would say this was the best performance by both bands. Heavy metal gold.

Anyway, be sure to check out the Official Megadeth Website & Official Lamb of God Website for music, news, videos, merch, and all upcoming tour dates. Continue reading below for more photos from their performances in Holmdel, NJ on 9/16/21. All images copyright and courtesy of Andy Jillson.

The Metal Tour Of The Year made a stop in Auburn, WA at White River Amphitheatre and literally set the place on fire. Hot damn! This must-see tour is co-headlined by Megadeth and Lamb of God, but the metal insanity doesn’t stop there. The two metal giants are joined by special guests Trivium and Hatebreed. What a lineup!

Anyway, tickets and VIP packages for the tour can be purchased at metaltouroftheyear.com. Also be sure to check out the Official Megadeth Website & Official Lamb of God Website for music, news, videos, merch, and all upcoming tour dates. Mr. Bungle: The Raging Wrath of The Easter Bunny Demo

Avant-garde metal martyr’s Mr. Bungle released the best thrash metal album of 1986 on October 30, 2020. Possibly one the best things to come out of what would end up becoming such a hellish year. Of course I’m referring to Bungle’s fourth studio album, The Raging Wrath of The Easter Bunny Demo. A demo most have never heard, and one I thought would never be legitimately re-recorded and released as an album. Eureka!

This album is fucking awesome. Beautiful and brutal. That’s about all I can say. It’s a true soundtrack for the times, particularly in the US, but also for the world’s chaos at large. With legends like Mike Patton, Scott Ian, Dave Lombardo, Trevor Dunn, and Trey Spruance, how can Mr. Bungle go wrong?!? They can’t. Anyway, in this album review Hazy Eye Music Media’s contributor Joseph Strand reviews The Raging Wrath of The Easter Bunny Demo by Mr. Bungle. Continue reading below for Joseph’s full album review.

GWAR (Photo by Andy Jillson)

Holy shit! GWAR played their first drive-in concert in the parking lot of The Diamond in Richmond, VA on 10/10/20, and I was fortunate enough to be there for my first parking lot show as well. The band’s performance was top notch and included all the horrific thrills and chills you would expect from these intergalactic metal gods — blood, guts, and senseless rock ‘n’ roll obscenity. I loved every second of it.

Hazy Eye Music Media is proud to announce another interview in a series of interviews I’m currently conducting with some of my favorite concert photographers. I’m stepping outside of my comfort zone and have begun picking the brains of some phenomenal photographers. My interviews in this series focus on concert photographers outside of DC, MD, and VA. Anyway, check it out! I, Andy Jillson, was fortunate enough to interview Bill Garman. Bill is an extremely talented freelance photographer based in Massillon, Ohio. I met him last summer at the Knotfest Roadshow in Burgettstown, PA. Bill is the type of photographer I aspire to be. His work is unique and well, breathtaking.

Bill is not only a great concert photographer— he’s also an amazing sports photographer and shoots Notre Dame football for Irish Sports Daily. His sports photography is equally as impressive as his skills in the photo pit. Continue reading below for my full interview with Bill Garman. All photos copyright and courtesy of Bill Garman.

Hazy Eye Music Media is proud to announce another interview in a series of interviews I’m currently conducting with some of my favorite concert photographers. I’m stepping outside of my comfort zone and have begun picking the brains of some phenomenal photographers. My interviews in this series focus on “local” concert photographers. That is photographers around DC, MD, and VA. The DMV as we call it.

Anyway, check it out! I, Andy Jillson, was fortunate enough to interview Brad Price. Brad is a talented up-and-coming concert photographer and has already covered some great musical artists. Brad loves music, live shows, and all types of photography; and he’s a member of the Hazy Eye Music Media team! Continue reading below for my full interview with Brad Price.
