Goose and their musical gaggle landed at the Frederick Fairgrounds in Frederick, MD once again this year. Showtime At The Drive-In has been hosting drive-in concert events at the fairgrounds and Goose remain the best act that has performed at the fairgrounds thus far. This was my second time seeing the band live. They did not disappoint.

Photo Flashback: The Disco Biscuits @ Frederick Fairgrounds 4/23/21 — Frederick, MD

The Disco Biscuits played for sold out lot of overzealous music fans on opening night at the Frederick Fairgrounds this year. The band actually sold out two nights at the fairgrounds, but I was there covering their “drive-in” performance on April 23, 2021. It was a beautiful evening for an outdoor concert, and The Disco Biscuits played two full-sets. This was a great way to kick off the fairgrounds’ 2021 season.

Dark Star Orchestra played to a sold out crowd of psychedelic ghouls and goblins at the Frederick Fairgrounds in Frederick, MD on October 31, 2020 and I was masked-up in the photo pit to capture some of this unusual event. All Good Presents and Showtime At The Drive-In hosted drive-in concert events at the fairgrounds last fall and DSO rose the Dead on Halloween night 2020. There was music, magic, mischief, and mayhem. What more could you want?!?

Concert Review: Goose @ Frederick Fairgrounds 10/19/20 — Frederick, MD

Goose and their musical gaggle landed at the Frederick Fairgrounds in Frederick, MD on October 19, 2020 and sold the place out. Showtime At The Drive-In has been hosting drive-in concert events at the fairgrounds and Goose have been the best act yet. This was my introduction to the band and honestly, I was blown away by their musical performance and uplifting vibes. Goose are definitely not your average “jam band” or “indie band.”

This past Friday, August 21, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong brought their unique brand of psychedelic funk to Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, PA. Their live musical performance was a part of the “Live-In Drive-In” concert series courtesy of Live Nation. Looks like the band and audience had a great time. Live-In Drive-In is a drive-in concert series featuring live performances on stage in the parking lot at Citizens Bank Park in Philly. The series allows you to enjoy live concerts, while still maintaining social distancing from the comfort of your own individual vehicle.

The Live-In Drive-In series continues throughout September 2020 and features performances by artists such as Mt. Joy, Subtronics, Smith & Myers, Lotus, and Dark Star Orchestra among others. Greensky Bluegrass performed at The Met in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 18, 2020 — and I, Jordan August, was there in the crowd clutching my camera and gear. Much like many of the “jam bands” in the scene, I’ve been photographing and seeing Greensky Bluegrass perform live for a long time. This show was different though. The Met is a special place to see a show and the band knows that. This hometown performance was one to remember for the fans and band alike.

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong performed at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 17, 2020 — and I, Jordan August, was there having a lunch break blast. I have been photographing and seeing the Pigeon boys perform live for 10 years now. Since the first show (in College Park, MD opening for The Bridge), the guys in the band have become good friends of mine — and watching them grow to these massive heights over the past few years has really put a smile on my face. What a phenomenal progression. Bravo!
