Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and their flock of fans rocked out at the Frederick Fairgrounds in Frederick, MD on October 15, 2020. Showtime At The Drive-In has been hosting drive-in concert events at the fairgrounds and still has multiple shows scheduled. This was my second drive-in concert and Pigeons did not disappoint.

This past Friday, August 21, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong brought their unique brand of psychedelic funk to Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, PA. Their live musical performance was a part of the “Live-In Drive-In” concert series courtesy of Live Nation. Looks like the band and audience had a great time. Live-In Drive-In is a drive-in concert series featuring live performances on stage in the parking lot at Citizens Bank Park in Philly. The series allows you to enjoy live concerts, while still maintaining social distancing from the comfort of your own individual vehicle.

The Live-In Drive-In series continues throughout September 2020 and features performances by artists such as Mt. Joy, Subtronics, Smith & Myers, Lotus, and Dark Star Orchestra among others. Andy Frasco & The U.N. will be playing at DC’s historic 9:30 Club on February 13, 2020 — and I, Andy Jillson, will be there to document the musical madness. The band’s sound has been described as “feel good blues-rock fueled by reckless abandonment and a disregard for the rules, and witty lyrics to back it all up.” The band’s live performances have been described as a “boisterous blend of harmonic funk and jazzy influences, all topped with boundless energy.”

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong performed at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 17, 2020 — and I, Jordan August, was there having a lunch break blast. I have been photographing and seeing the Pigeon boys perform live for 10 years now. Since the first show (in College Park, MD opening for The Bridge), the guys in the band have become good friends of mine — and watching them grow to these massive heights over the past few years has really put a smile on my face. What a phenomenal progression. Bravo!

Andy Frasco & The U.N. have confirmed several fall tour dates this year and I, Jordan August, will be covering the band’s performance at The Fillmore in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 30, 2019. The band’s fall run started with three nights opening for Greensky Bluegrass. Not bad! The band is out there on the road headlining a series of dates in the Northeast.
