Greensky Bluegrass performed at The Met in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 18, 2020 — and I, Jordan August, was there in the crowd clutching my camera and gear. Much like many of the “jam bands” in the scene, I’ve been photographing and seeing Greensky Bluegrass perform live for a long time. This show was different though. The Met is a special place to see a show and the band knows that. This hometown performance was one to remember for the fans and band alike.

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong performed at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 17, 2020 — and I, Jordan August, was there having a lunch break blast. I have been photographing and seeing the Pigeon boys perform live for 10 years now. Since the first show (in College Park, MD opening for The Bridge), the guys in the band have become good friends of mine — and watching them grow to these massive heights over the past few years has really put a smile on my face. What a phenomenal progression. Bravo!

David Yow captivated the audience, the band punished their instruments, and we all loved every second of it.

Daughters stopped at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC on December 18, 2019 and I was there rocking out with the band for my third time in the last two years. The venue wasn’t sold out, but it was packed tightly. The photo pit was full, the crowd was frantic, and Daughters fucking killed it.

Robert Earl Keen performed at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, DC on December 6, 2019 — and I, Andy Jillson, was there snapping pictures and having a blast with his fans. I was extremely fortunate to have obtained a photo pass and review ticket for this show. Keen’s “Countdown to Christmas Tour” was the best holiday concert I’ve ever attended.
