High On Fire performed at Baltimore Soundstage in Baltimore, Maryland on November 17, 2019 — and I, Andy Jillson, was there rocking out with my fellow photographers and dedicated metalheads. Soundstage was packed, people were drunk and high, and the music was fucking amazing. I did my best to capture these musical madman in action despite the obstacles. Andy Frasco & The U.N. performed at The Foundry in Philadelphia, PA on October 30, 2019 — and I, Jordan August, was there to capture some of the drunken antics. Yep, in this concert review we’re taking a trip down memory lane with Andy Frasco and his band of musical pranksters. What a crazy ass show! Continue reading below for full concert review. Incubus @ Warner Theatre (Photo by Andy Jillson)

Incubus recently announced a fall tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough album, Make Yourself — and the band stopped in Washington, DC to play two nights at the Warner Theatre. I was fortunate enough to photograph Incubus on the second night, October 13, 2019. Wow. What a show. Incubus’ performance will be making my top 5 best concerts of the year list. So much fun. So many great songs. Yep, Incubus was on point and the setlist was fucking awesome! Continue reading below for full concert review. All images copyright and courtesy of Andy Jillson.

Post Malone stopped at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC on October 12, 2019 and I, Abdulah Konte, was there shooting from unusually roomy photo pit. That’s right, Post Malone! We were extremely fortunate to have obtained a photo pass and review ticket for this massive tour. Thanks to Hazy Eye Music Media’s editor Andy Jillson for the hook up! GWAR @ Rams Head Live (Photo by Andy Jillson)

That’s right kids! GWAR landed at Rams Head Live in Baltimore, MD on September 29, 2019 and bathed the adoring audience in alien blood, semen, and other bodily fluids. I was there in a white painter’s suit taking pictures — slipping and sliding around in the photo pit like a madman; or in this case GWAR’S human slave pit. Snoop Dogg @ Jiffy Lube Live (Photo by Andy Jillson)

Rap and hip-hop legends Snoop Dogg & Wu-Tang Clan have joined forces for a celebration of two of the most unique and influential albums of all-time; of course, I’m referring to Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle and Wu-Tang Clan’s Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). Both Snoop Dogg and Wu-Tang Clan dominated the stage and smoked out the crowd at Jiffy Lube Live on Friday September 27, 2019. Continue reading below for full concert review. Ty Segall @ Ottobar (Photo by Andy Jillson)

For this Hazy Eye Music Media “Photo Flashback” post we’ll be taking a trip down memory lane with Ty Segall & White Fence. As a rule, I never miss an opportunity to catch a performance by the prolific garage rocker and rock & roll slave, Ty Segall. On this go around he paid a visit to Ottobar in Baltimore, MD on February 25, 2019 with fellow indie rocker and American singer-songwriter Tim Presley (aka White Fence). The venue wreaked of beer and stale cigarette smoke for this gig (I mean more so than usual). The band were drinking beer, the crew were drinking, and a large majority of the crowd were joining along. Continue reading below for full concert review. Live @ 9:30 Club (Photo by Andy Jillson)

One of the biggest “alternative rock” bands to come out of the 1990’s, +LIVE+, stopped at DC’s 9:30 Club recently, and I was there taking photos and reliving a bit of my early teenager years. Live is out on tour again following their 2016 reunion, and the band played an amazing set of songs in front of a frenzied sold-out crowd at DC’s historic venue on September 16, 2019. The 2016 reunion of Live has been well-received by critics and fans alike. The reunion has given the fans a chance to see the band again and/or for the first time and gave the band themselves an opportunity to celebrate this year’s 25th anniversary of, Throwing Copper. Gojira @ KeyBank Pavilion (Photo by Andy Jillson)

Slipknot embarked on a six-week long tour around North America and brought French heavy metal titans Gojira along with them for the ride. Knotfest Roadshow 2019 was without a doubt the summer’s heaviest-hitting metal festival tour. I was fortunate enough to be approved to photograph Gojira and all three of the other bands on the lineup. Continue reading below for full concert review. Slipknot embarked on a six-week long tour around North America and brought Polish extreme black metal blasphemers Behemoth along with them for the ride. Knotfest Roadshow 2019 was without a doubt the summer’s heaviest-hitting metal festival tour. I was fortunate enough to be approved to photograph Behemoth and all three of the other bands on the lineup. Continue reading below for full concert review.
