Helmet performed at Union Stage in Washington, DC on October 27, 2019 and I was there to catch some of the action. The band is currently out on their 30th anniversary tour and fans everywhere are losing their shit. I loved Helmet as a teenager in the 90’s, and the band still kicks ass today. Incubus recently announced a fall tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough album, Make Yourself — and the band stopped in Washington, DC to play two nights at the Warner Theatre. I was fortunate enough to photograph Incubus on the second night, October 13, 2019. Wow. What a show. Incubus’ performance will be making my top 5 best concerts of the year list. So much fun. Legendary rock photographers Mick Rock and Henry Diltz visited City Winery in DC recently to tell the stories behind some of their legendary images during their “Behind The Lens” tour. Presented by Morrison Hotel, and hosted in DC’s beautiful City Winery on October 9, 2019, both Mick Rock and Henry Diltz were an absolute pleasure to meet. Their ground-breaking rock images changed the world of rock photography forever. The two also stayed after for a meet-and-greet to hand-sign some of their most iconic photographic prints. That’s right kids! GWAR landed at Rams Head Live in Baltimore, MD on September 29, 2019 and bathed the adoring audience in alien blood, semen, and other bodily fluids.
