Machine Head performed at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland on January 31, 2020 — and Hazy Eye Music Media’s contributor Abdullah Konte was there to capture some of the punishing metal madness. Abdullah had no idea what he was in for. The band played two full sets of extremely loud heavy metal. Yep, in this “Photo Flashback” we’re taking a trip down memory lane with Machine Head — and Abdullah is our guide. All images copyright and courtesy of Abdullah Konte.
Machine Head’s first set featured returning band members Robb Flynn and Jared MacEachern, joined by their new guitarist Vogg Kieltyka and drummer Matt Alston. After blasting through several of their modern metal classics, the band then invited original drummer Chris Kontos and original guitarist Logan Mader to join them as they played their debut album Burn My Eyes in its entirety.
