Machine Head stopped at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland on January 31, 2020 — and I, Andy Jillson, was there to capture some of the metal madness. The band played two full sets of their most classic and loved material. Yep, in this “Photo Flashback” we’re taking a trip down memory lane with Machine Head.
As previously stated, Machine Head are on tour and they’re playing two sets per night — with the first set featuring returning Machine Head members Robb Flynn and Jared MacEachern joined by their new guitarist Vogg Kieltyka and drummer Matt Alston. After blasting through several of their modern metal classics, the band then invited original drummer Chris Kontos and original guitarist Logan Mader to join them as they played their debut album Burn My Eyes in its entirety. Amazing. Full of power and raw energy.
Luckily for the fans, Machine Head is still touring and has several stops remaining. Be sure to see one of these shows if possible. Check the Official Machine Head Website for all upcoming tour dates and other info about the band.
