Skillet are currently on a co-headlining tour with Seether and they stopped to perform at Pier Six Pavilion in Baltimore, MD on 9/19/2024. They had support from Royale Lynn and Tim Montana. It was a beautiful evening on the water listening to amazing rock and roll! Skillet absolutely owned the night with a spectacular show!
Anyways, continue reading below for more photos of Skillet and my full review of the show. Be sure to check out Skillet’s Official Website for music, videos, news, and tickets for all upcoming tour dates. All images copyright and courtesy of John Krebs of Carpe Tempus Photography.
Pier Six Pavilion was rocking Thursday night! The show started off with sets by Royale Lynn and Tim Montana. Both bands did an excellent job warming up the crowd. After they performed Seether took the stage and got everyone on their feet, rocking and vibing to the music. Skillet closed out their co-headlining tour and made it a night to remember!
Skillet performed a setlist that encompassed six of their albums! Some highlights were “Rise,” “Surviving the Game,” “Legendary,” “Psycho in My Head,” and “Monster.” This was such a stunning setlist that I don’t think anyone would despise.
The energy Skillet brings to the stage is contagious. The band thrashes, jumps, and shows their passion for the music during every song! It is hard to watch them and not be moving! I have always enjoyed watching one of Skillet’s guitarist, Korey Cooper, perform because she is rarely seen standing still. She will stand on risers, stomps to the music, and even lay down almost horizontally before jumping up and continuing.
One thing to notice while watching Skillet perform is the amount of interactions the members have with each other. They are constantly performing near each other and the energy just flies between them. It is truly spectacular!
I have always enjoyed the positivity Skillet brings to their performance. There are always speeches that talk about the crazy world we live in and how we can always put that aside and join together for a rock and roll show! This is evident in their new single “Unpopular” as they performed it. Sometimes its good to do what you like, and if you are labeled unpopular by society, there is just one word to say and it’s “whatever.”
If you ever get a chance to see Skillet live, you will not regret it! They put on an amazing performance filled with positivity, C02 arm cannons, and moments you will never forget!
