Spiritbox are currently on their “Tsunami Sea North America” tour with support from Dying Wish and Loathe. This tour stopped in Oxon Hill, MD at the MGM National Harbor and the high rollers were turned into Holy Rollers by the end of the show! With outstanding stage production, haunting lyrics, and a beautiful blend of brutal screams and harmonic melodies, this was definitely a show that had the crowd riding the wave.

Anyway, continue reading below for more photos of Spiritbox and my full review of the show. I couldn’t imagine a better way to spend a Friday night than attending a metal show. The “Tsunami Sea North America” tour has non-stop action and should not be missed. The show opens with Dying Wish, a melodic metalcore from Portland, Oregon. Dying Wish does not waste time as they warm up to crowd. They are a superb act to watch live. Emma Booster, lead vocalist, is a power house and blasts on the stage with energy. I would make sure to get tot he venue in time to see them perform!

Loathe, a metalcore band from Liverpool, England, took the stage after Dying Wish and kept the crowd’s energy growing. Between the metal-jam riffs and insane stage lighting, the band definitely has an incredible stage presence. Kadeem France, Loathe’s front man, does a fantastic job engaging with the crowd and getting them moving. This was my first time seeing Loathe and I am definitely going to add them into my rotation.

When Spiritbox took the stage, the crowd exploded and immediately started crowd surfing. I do not think the MGM National Harbor normally has shows like this, and the crowd definitely put their security to the test. Spiritbox opened the show with “Fata Morgana,” “Black Rainbow,” “Perfect Soul,” and “Jaded.” These songs seamlessly flowed into each other and it was truly a spectacle to witness Courtney LaPlante’s vocal talents in person. I have been a huge fan of LaPlante’s for a long time, but this was my first time seeing her perform. Between her amazing vocal range to her brutal screaming, she is an incredibly talented artist.

Spiritbox went on to perform a 16 song setlist that encompassed their two full length LPs and a few of their EPs. Some highlights of the set were ” The Void,” “Circle With Me,” “Hysteria,” “Soft Spine,” “Holy Roller,” “Crystal Roses,” and “Ride the Wave.” There were many times throughout the night where I couldn’t help but stomp along to the music. One of my favorite Spiritbox songs is “Holy Roller” and I can never stand still during that song. I was definitely banging my head between grabbing shots.

Spiritbox did not disappoint with their performance. During the song “Soft Spine,” a brutal song about hypocrisy and disdain towards people in the industry, one of the biggest mosh pits I’ve seen opened up. The crowd moved, bounced, and thrashed during this emotionally heavy song.

If you ever get a chance to catch Spiritbox live, do not even hesitate to get tickets. They have an amazing stage presence, outstanding production that only enhances the music, and non-stop energy. This was my first time catching Spiritbox live, but it definitely won’t be my last. Below are more images of Spiritbox performing at MGM National Harbor on 4/11/2025.
