Sevendust are currently on the “Pawns & Kings” tour as support for Alter Bridge. They stopped at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town, WV on 8/4/2023. Sevendust are a band I have been familiar with but have never had the chance to see. After this show, I am now a huge fan and I hope to catch them again! If you have a chance to catch them on tour, you should do so!

As soon as Sevendust took the stage, they opened with “Face to Face” and the crowd went berserk. With the booming bass and aggressive lyrics and guitar, the entire crowd was moving. It was fun watching Lajon Witherspoon, their lead vocalist, move around on stage and perform. He has such a positive energy emanating from him and it was definitely infectious!

One of my favorite moments of the show was the emotional tribute by Lajon did before performing “Angel’s Son” dedicating it to everyone we had ever lost. It is such a beautiful song and I am glad I was able to see it live! In all, Sevendust performed 10 songs including songs from their new album, “Truth Killer.”

If you have a chance, I highly recommend catching Sevendust on this tour! They are an amazing band to witness between the chaos on stage and the passionate fans in the crowd!
