J. Roddy Walston & Palm Palm performed at Union Stage in Washington, DC on January 26, 2020 — and Hazy Eye Music Media’s contributor Brad Price was there to capture some of the rock ‘n’ roll strangeness. Yep, in this “Photo Flashback” we’re taking a trip down memory lane with J. Roddy Walston & Palm Palm — and Brad is our guide. All images copyright and courtesy of Brad Price.
For nearly two decades he’s been the “J Roddy Walston” of the “and the Business.” Now he’s just out there being himself. Mr. Walston and his musical friends have a whole rack of great songs to play — and a moving truck full of synths, pianos, tape machines, and assorted sequencers. After “quitting” the music industry in December of 2019, he’s back!
J. Roddy Walston & Palm Palm are on tour playing all your favorite songs in completely unfamiliar ways. Walston is out to meet himself again, and he’s doing it in front of an audience. His 2020 tour, “A Single Dose of Strangeness” will hopefully pick back up again later this year. Be sure to check for upcoming tour dates.
