Robert Earl Keen performed at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, DC on December 6, 2019 — and I, Andy Jillson, was there snapping pictures and having a blast with his fans. I was extremely fortunate to have obtained a photo pass and review ticket for this show. Keen’s “Countdown to Christmas Tour” was the best holiday concert I’ve ever attended.

Helmet performing @ Union Stage (Photo by Andy Jillson)

Helmet performed at Union Stage in Washington, DC on October 27, 2019 and I was there to catch some of the action. The band is currently out on their 30th anniversary tour and fans everywhere are losing their shit. I loved Helmet as a teenager in the 90’s, and the band still kicks ass today. They are a constant in my “metal” playlists. Yep, for this “Photo Flashback” we’re taking a trip down memory lane with Helmet. Continue reading below for more photos from the show. Live @ 9:30 Club (Photo by Andy Jillson)

One of the biggest “alternative rock” bands to come out of the 1990’s, +LIVE+, stopped at DC’s 9:30 Club recently, and I was there taking photos and reliving a bit of my early teenager years. Live is out on tour again following their 2016 reunion, and the band played an amazing set of songs in front of a frenzied sold-out crowd at DC’s historic venue on September 16, 2019. The 2016 reunion of Live has been well-received by critics and fans alike. The reunion has given the fans a chance to see the band again and/or for the first time and gave the band themselves an opportunity to celebrate this year’s 25th anniversary of, Throwing Copper.
