Young Dolph @ The Fillmore (Photo by Abdullah Konte)

Young Dolph and Key Glock performed for a sold out crowd at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland on March 1, 2020 — and Hazy Eye Music Media’s contributor Abdullah Konte was there to capture some of this soon to be classic Fillmore rap show. Young Dolph recently confirmed that he is retiring from the rap game. That’s right. Total bummer for his fans, but great news for his kids. We are truly grateful to have this “photo flashback.” Thanks Abdullah!

Digable Planets @ The Birchmere (Photo by Andy Jillson)

Digable Planets played for a sold out crowd at The Birchmere in Alexandria, Virginia on February 24, 2020 — and I, Andy Jillson, was there to capture some of the eclectic performance. This show was sold out for a reason. Digable Planets were awesome! Seriously. Wow. I am extremely fortunate to have obtained a photo pass for this show. I dig, Digable Planets.

Theo Katzman @ The Foundry (Photo by Jordan August)

Theo Katzman performed for a sold out crowd at The Foundry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on February 19, 2020 — and I, Jordan August, was there in the intimate venue jamming along with all the other obsessed Katzman fans. What a wonderful musical experience. Don’t miss out on seeing him on his 2020 tour!

Snoop Dogg performed at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland on January 19, 2020 — and I, Andy Jillson, was there in the photo pit “smokin’ indo” with the rap and hip-hop icon. The show was sold out, the venue was tightly packed, and the crowd was “highly” anxious. The fans went absolutely crazy at first site of tha Dogg. Once again I was overcome with awe. Snoop dominated the mic and smoked out the entire venue. Wow.

Ed Kowalczyk of Live performing @ 9:30 Club (Photo by Andy Jillson)

One of the biggest “alternative rock” bands to come out of the 1990’s, +LIVE+, stopped at DC’s 9:30 Club recently, and I was there taking photos and reliving a bit of my early teenager years. Live is out on tour again following their 2016 reunion, and the band played an amazing set of songs in front of a frenzied sold-out crowd at DC’s historic venue on September 16, 2019. The 2016 reunion of Live has been well-received by critics and fans alike. The reunion has given the fans a chance to see the band again and/or for the first time and gave the band themselves an opportunity to celebrate this year’s 25th anniversary of, Throwing Copper.
