The almighty Melvins are currently touring the US in support of industrial metal juggernaut Ministry. The Industrial Strength Tour (as it’s being called) was postponed the past two years due to COVID; however, the tour is now in full-swing. Thankfully the tour hits The Wellmont Theater in Montclair, New Jersey on 3/12/22. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
Well, I was fortunate to see Slipknot twice this year on the Knotfest Roadshow. I made the trip to BB&T Pavilion in Camden, NJ on 10/12/21, and also attended their show at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, VA on 10/13/21. Both performances were top notch, but the show in New Jersey was my favorite. The fans in Camden were fuckin’ nuts! The woman in the sit next to mine cried sporadically throughout Slipknot’s entire performance. Intense.

The Metal Tour Of The Year made a second stop while in New Jersey, and I was fortunate enough to be there. Megadeth and Lamb of God collectively blew the minds and eardrums of everyone in attendance. The sound and lighting at this show was amazing. Both heavy metal giants performed flawless sets in a beautiful amphitheater. This was my third time seeing the tour. Overall, I would say this was the best performance by both bands. Heavy metal gold.

This past Sunday, August 23, The Front Bottoms rocked out for the parking lot crowd at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, PA. Their live musical performance was a part of the “Live-In Drive-In” concert series courtesy of Live Nation. Looks like the band and audience had a great time. Live-In Drive-In is a drive-in concert series featuring live performances on stage in the parking lot at Citizens Bank Park in Philly. The series allows you to enjoy live concerts, while still maintaining social distancing from the comfort of your own individual vehicle.
The Live-In Drive-In series continues throughout September 2020 and features performances by artists such as Subtronics, Smith & Myers, Lotus, and Dark Star Orchestra among others.
