21 — St. Louis, MO

It was a rainy Sunday night on August 8, 2021 when Dermot Kennedy took the stage at The Pageant in St. Louis. The venue hummed with the energy that only a sold out show could provide. The show itself was emotional for me in numerous ways. This was the first concert I attended since the pandemic started in early 2020, over a year ago. Just being back in a crowd of like-minded music lovers was enough to send tingles straight down my spine.

Modest Mouse played to a sold out crowd at The Met in Philadelphia, PA on 8/5/21. The band are currently on an extensive US summer and fall tour in support of their new album, The Golden Casket. This was my first time at The Met and my first time seeing Modest Mouse live since 1999. It felt amazing being in the photo pit for this show.

Wilco is back out on the road…oh boy! That’s right, Wilco and Sleater-Kinney are scheduled to perform together at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD on Friday, August 8. This is a tour we all have been waiting a long time for. This is a show I would not dare miss. You shouldn’t miss it either! Just be sure to arrive with proof of vaccination or a negative test from the past 72 hours, along with a matching photo ID. Photo Flashback: Japanese Breakfast @ The Fillmore 7/21/21 — Silver Spring, MD

Japanese Breakfast played for a sold out crowd at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD last week. This was the first performance of their 2021 tour, and one I will remember for years to come. The venue was extremely hot and packed tightly; however, the crowd loved every second of it. I was personally so caught up in the musical excitement that three songs in the photo pit went by in a blink. Amazing performance. Amazing artist. Enough said.

Virginia’s 4th annual Blue Ridge Rock Festival will be taking place this year September 9-12 at the Blue Ridge Amphitheater in Danville, VA. Once again, the festival organizers have gone out of their way to provide an entirely “fan-driven” artist lineup. This musical event will be one of the best of the year!
