The former Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist, Greg Puciato, stopped at Underground Arts in Philly recently in support of his pair of solo albums, with the most recent being 2022’s Mirrorcell. The venue was packed and the anxiety was high. When Puciato hit the stage the crowd exploded. An extremely intense performance in an intimate, hard rock setting.

This was my first time covering a show for Hazy Eye Media and one I will not soon forget. I had a great time and look forward to seeing Greg Puciato again in the future. He seems to be an artist who will not be resting anytime soon. Continue viewing below for more of my pics from his performance in Philly. All images copyright and courtesy of Taylor Mushinski.

In this Hazy Eye Media photo flashback we’re taking a trip down memory lane with Citizen Cope at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC on 5/10/2023. This was a solo acoustic performance by the DC native and one of his most intimate. He recently announced that his latest album, The Victory March, will be dropping this summer. The album has contributions from musicians in The Roots and Paul McCartney’s backing band. Not a bad lineup!

Anyway, be sure to check out the Official Citizen Cope Website for music, news, and tickets for all upcoming tour dates. Continue viewing below for more pics from his acoustic performance at the 9:30 Club in DC on 5/10/2023. All images copyright and courtesy of James Miller.

August Burns Red (Photo by John Krebs)

I have seen August Burns Red multiple times, and they never disappoint. The energy Jake Luhrs creates while on stage makes the entire crowd bounce. Having seen them before, I knew he likes to swing the microphone around. I waited for the shot and it looked as if he was aiming right for me! Great show.

Anyway, continue viewing below for more photos of August Burns Red live at The National in Richmond, VA on 5/6/2023. Puscifer will be making a stop at The Lyric in Baltimore, MD on 6/1/2023. The band, founded by Tool’s Maynard James Keenan and featuring British singer Carina Round with electro-wizard/guitar player Mat Mitchell, are touring behind their critically-acclaimed album, Existential Reckoning. Tickets for the show at The Lyric are available HERE.

Secret Agents. Dancing Aliens. Video Vignettes. Puscifer’s live outings aren’t really concerts but more of a music-meets-live theatre experience. As a writer recently said: “There are regular rock bands and then there is Puscifer.” Be sure to check out the Official Puscifer Website for music, videos, news, and tickets for all upcoming tour dates.

The former Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist, Greg Puciato, is doing his first tour in support of his pair of solo albums, with the most recent being 2022’s Mirrorcell. He will be stopping at Underground Arts in Philly on 5/22/2023. Tickets for his performance are available HERE. Be sure to check the Official Greg Puciato Website for music, videos, news, and tickets for all upcoming tour dates.

Greg Puciato is a man of many bands, and styles, from the metal of Killer Be Killed, to the Jimmy Jam influenced electro offering The Black Queen, his most recent work with Jerry Cantrell, and of course, the unbridled Dillinger Escape Plan, his solo offering is a bit more straightforward, with hints of his vast catalogue spread throughout. Don’t miss your chance to see this man live and in-your-face.

Ministry and the beloved Uncle Al stopped to perform at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD on 5/3/2023. The band are currently on tour in the US with supporting acts Gary Numan and Front Line Assembly. Of course, being a long-time fan of Ministry, I was there in the photo pit losing my mind. I did my best to keep my composure and take some decent photos while rocking out to one of my favorite bands. I had a blast and my photos turned out well. Ministry sounded tight as ever and the setlist was top notch. Mission accomplished.

Anyway, continue reading below for more photos of Ministry and my full review of the show. Be sure to check out the Official Ministry Website for music, videos, news, and tickets for all upcoming tour dates. All images copyright and courtesy of Andy Jillson.

Skinny Puppy recently performed at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD and I was there to capture some action. I have been a fan of Skinny Puppy since the early 90s, but this was my first time seeing them perform live. The band are on their final tour so figured I would check them out while I still had the chance.

Train (Photo by Jianna Brown)

Train kicked off the AM Gold Tour at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center on June 11, 2022. Seconds after Train took the stage, excitement emerged throughout the crowd as confetti shot up from just before the stage; and the song “Meet Virginia” began. Amazing.

In the middle of the set, Train’s lead singer Pat Monahan ran backstage and quickly put on a “Meet Virginia” t-shirt. He ran to each band member with a marker and had them sign the t-shirt. Monahan threw about a dozen t-shirts off the stage into the crowd and lastly threw the autographed shirt. What a night! Continue reading below for more pics and my full review. Fortunately for me I was able to photograph Tool at Capital One Arena in DC recently. Whoa. What an amazing show! Both musically and visually stunning. Psychedelic, progressive hard rock at its finest. A bit challenging for a photographer, but so much nervous excitement. I had not seen Tool since the late 90s. Completely blew my mind.

Tool are still touring the US in support of their fifth studio album, Fear Inoculum. Check the Official Tool Website for remaining tour dates and tickets. Continue reading below for more photos of their performance in DC. All images copyright and courtesy of Andy Jillson.
