Bumpin Uglies kicked off the weekend at Baltimore Soundstage on March 19, 2021 and I was fortunate enough to be there enjoying the live music and spacious photo pit. The performance was their first of three sold out shows at Soundstage last week. This was my first time back in the venue since February 2020. Felt so good. It was a much needed dose of socially-distanced live music and concert photography.

Anyway, in this photo flashback we’re taking a glimpse into the world of post-COVID concerts. Continue reading below for more shots of Bumpin Uglies performing for a sold out room of mask-wearing fans in Baltimore, MD. All images copyright and courtesy of Andy Jillson.

The Eric Scott Band played a sold out show at Rams Head On Stage in Annapolis, MD on February 25, 2021 and I was there doing my best to photograph the band behind a plexiglass barrier. Eric Scott is a Washington, DC singer-songwriter and bassist. He has toured internationally and is a 15-time Wammie winner, as awarded by the Washington Area Music Association (WAMA). He’s also a 2021 Wammie Finalist. Amazing.

Anyway, in this photo flashback, we’re taking a trip down memory lane with the Eric Scott Band. This was my first show of the year, and Eric’s too! Dark Star Orchestra played to a sold out crowd of psychedelic ghouls and goblins at the Frederick Fairgrounds in Frederick, MD on October 31, 2020 and I was masked-up in the photo pit to capture some of this unusual event. All Good Presents and Showtime At The Drive-In hosted drive-in concert events at the fairgrounds last fall and DSO rose the Dead on Halloween night 2020. There was music, magic, mischief, and mayhem. What more could you want?!?

Anyway, in this Photo Flashback I am remembering my time with DSO. Continue reading below for more images of Dark Star Orchestra performing for a sold out (socially-distanced) crowd at the Frederick Fairgrounds on 10/31/20. All images copyright and courtesy of Andy Jillson.

Goose (Photo by Andy Jillson)

Goose and their musical gaggle landed at the Frederick Fairgrounds in Frederick, MD on October 19, 2020 and sold the place out. Showtime At The Drive-In has been hosting drive-in concert events at the fairgrounds and Goose have been the best act yet. This was my introduction to the band and honestly, I was blown away by their musical performance and uplifting vibes. Goose are definitely not your average “jam band” or “indie band.”

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and their flock of fans rocked out at the Frederick Fairgrounds in Frederick, MD on October 15, 2020. Showtime At The Drive-In has been hosting drive-in concert events at the fairgrounds and still has multiple shows scheduled. This was my second drive-in concert and Pigeons did not disappoint.
