The Hella Mega Tour featuring Green Day and Weezer made a stop in DC on 8/8/2021. I was fortunate enough to be in the photo pit for this one. This is my biggest show to date. Wow…just wow. Surreal is an understatement. I was only allowed in the photo pit for a couple songs, but I made the most of my time. I had a freakin’ blast!

Anyway, tickets for the Hella Mega Tour can be purchased at hellamegatour.com. Also be sure to check out the Official Green Day Website & Official Weezer Website for music, videos, merch, and all upcoming tour dates. Modest Mouse played to a sold out crowd at The Met in Philadelphia, PA on 8/5/21. The band are currently on an extensive US summer and fall tour in support of their new album, The Golden Casket. This was my first time at The Met and my first time seeing Modest Mouse live since 1999. It felt amazing being in the photo pit for this show.

Anyway, tickets for upcoming Modest Mouse shows can be purchased at modestmouse.com/#tour. Japanese Breakfast (Photo by Andy Jillson)

Japanese Breakfast played for a sold out crowd at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD last week. This was the first performance of their 2021 tour, and one I will remember for years to come. The venue was extremely hot and packed tightly; however, the crowd loved every second of it. I was personally so caught up in the musical excitement that three songs in the photo pit went by in a blink. Amazing performance. Amazing artist. Enough said.

Anyone who has a chance should give Japanese Breakfast a listen and buy a ticket to one of the shows. Tickets are on sale now and available for purchase at japanesebreakfast.rocks/tour. Continue reading below for more photos information. All images copyright and courtesy of Andy Jillson.

Virginia’s 4th annual Blue Ridge Rock Festival will be taking place this year September 9-12 at the Blue Ridge Amphitheater in Danville, VA. Once again, the festival organizers have gone out of their way to provide an entirely “fan-driven” artist lineup. This musical event will be one of the best of the year!

Headliners for this year’s Blue Ridge Rock Festival include Rob Zombie, Rise Against, Breaking Benjamin, Five Finger Death Punch, Megadeth, Papa Roach, and Shinedown. I’m personally looking most forward to performances by Gojira, Lamb of God, Mastodon, and Anthrax. View full line-up and/or purchase tickets at blueridgerockfest.com. Goose (Photo by Andy Jillson)

Goose and their musical gaggle landed at the Frederick Fairgrounds in Frederick, MD once again this year. Showtime At The Drive-In has been hosting drive-in concert events at the fairgrounds and Goose remain the best act that has performed at the fairgrounds thus far. This was my second time seeing the band live. They did not disappoint.

Anyway, in this photo flashback we’re taking a glimpse into the world of post-COVID concerts. Be sure to check out the Official Goose Website for music, videos, merch, and upcoming shows. Continue reading below for more shots of Goose performing for a sold out, socially-distanced, crowd at the Frederick Fairgrounds in Frederick, MD. All images copyright and courtesy of Andy Jillson.
