Anthrax is currently touring in celebration of their 40th year as a band. Along with Black Label Society, Anthrax are bringing some of the finest thrash and heavy metal to The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD on 8/18/2022. Both bands will play headline sets with Hatebreed as the supporting artist. Photo Flashback: Japanese Breakfast @ The Fillmore 7/21/21 — Silver Spring, MD

Japanese Breakfast played for a sold out crowd at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD last week. This was the first performance of their 2021 tour, and one I will remember for years to come. The venue was extremely hot and packed tightly; however, the crowd loved every second of it. I was personally so caught up in the musical excitement that three songs in the photo pit went by in a blink. Amazing performance. Amazing artist. Enough said.

I’m stepping outside of my comfort zone and have been picking the brains of some phenomenal photographers. My interviews in this series focus on “local” concert photographers. That is photographers around DC, MD, and VA. The DMV as we call it.

Young Dolph and Key Glock performed for a sold out crowd at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland on March 1, 2020 — and Hazy Eye Music Media’s contributor Abdullah Konte was there to capture some of this soon to be classic Fillmore rap show. Young Dolph recently confirmed that he is retiring from the rap game. That’s right. Total bummer for his fans, but great news for his kids.
