Cory Wong performed to a sold out crowd at the Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 24, 2020 — and I, Jordan August, was allowed into the photo pit just in the nick of time to capture a bit of the funky magic. I’m truly grateful to have been at this event. Philly loves Cory Wong and it showed. What follows is more of an account of my evening than an actual live concert review.
Thurston Moore Group performed at the Ottobar in Baltimore, Maryland on December 8, 2019 — and I, Andy Jillson, was there to capture some of the beautiful instrumental magic. Yep, in this “Photo Flashback” we’re taking a trip down memory lane with the Thurston Moore Group.
Dinosaur Jr. performed at Baltimore Soundstage in Baltimore, Maryland on November 18, 2019 — and Hazy Eye Music Media’s contributor Brad Price was there to capture some of the sonic assault. Yep, in this “Photo Flashback” we’re taking a trip down alt-rock memory lane with Dinosaur Jr. — and Brad is our guide.
Dinosaur Jr. performed at Baltimore Soundstage in Baltimore, Maryland on November 18, 2019 — and I, Andy Jillson, was there taking photos and having my ear drums blown out. All three original members of Dinosaur Jr. are out on a fall tour of North American and I was able to score a photo pass despite the obstacles.
For this Hazy Eye Music Media “Photo Flashback” post we’ll be taking a trip down memory lane with Ty Segall & White Fence. As a rule, I never miss an opportunity to catch a performance by the prolific garage rocker and rock & roll slave, Ty Segall. On this go around he paid a visit to Ottobar in Baltimore, MD on February 25, 2019 with fellow indie rocker and American singer-songwriter Tim Presley (aka White Fence). The venue wreaked of beer and stale cigarette smoke for this gig (I mean more so than usual). The band were drinking beer, the crew were drinking, and a large majority of the crowd were joining along.
