Andy Frasco & The U.N. performed at The Foundry in Philadelphia, PA on October 30, 2019 — and I, Jordan August, was there to capture some of the drunken antics. Yep, in this “Photo Flashback” we’re taking a trip down memory lane with Andy Frasco and his band of musical pranksters.

Incubus recently announced a fall tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough album, Make Yourself — and the band stopped in Washington, DC to play two nights at the Warner Theatre. I was fortunate enough to photograph Incubus on the second night, October 13, 2019. Wow. What a show. Incubus’ performance will be making my top 5 best concerts of the year list. So much fun. So many great songs. Yep, Incubus was on point and the setlist was fucking awesome!

Post Malone stopped at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC on October 12, 2019 and Hazy Eye Music Media’s contributor Abdullah Konte was there in the photo pit. That’s right, Post Malone! We were extremely fortunate to have obtained a photo pass and review ticket for this massive tour. Thanks to Hazy Eye Music Media’s editor Andy Jillson for the hook up!

Concert Review: GWAR @ Rams Head Live 9/29/19

That’s right kids! GWAR landed at Rams Head Live in Baltimore, MD on September 29, 2019 and bathed the adoring audience in alien blood, semen, and other bodily fluids. I was there in a white painter’s suit taking pictures — slipping and sliding around in the photo pit like a madman; or in this case GWAR’S human slave pit.

Rap and hip-hop legends Snoop Dogg & Wu-Tang Clan have joined forces for a celebration of two of the most unique and influential albums of all-time; of course, I’m referring to Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle and Wu-Tang Clan’s Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). Both Snoop Dogg and Wu-Tang Clan dominated the stage and smoked out the crowd at Jiffy Lube Live on Friday September 27, 2019.

Concert Review: Live @ 9:30 Club 9/16/19

Ed Kowalczyk of Live performing at DC’s 9:30 Club

One of the biggest “alternative rock” bands to come out of the 1990’s, +LIVE+, stopped at DC’s 9:30 Club recently, and I was there taking photos and reliving a bit of my early teenager years. Live is out on tour again following their 2016 reunion, and the band played an amazing set of songs in front of a frenzied sold-out crowd at DC’s historic venue on September 16, 2019. The 2016 reunion of Live has been well-received by critics and fans alike. The reunion has given the fans a chance to see the band again and/or for the first time and gave the band themselves an opportunity to celebrate this year’s 25th anniversary of, Throwing Copper.

Concert Review: Gojira @ Knotfest 8/23/19

Slipknot embarked on a six-week long tour around North America and brought French heavy metal titans Gojira along with them for the ride. Knotfest Roadshow 2019 was without a doubt the summer’s heaviest-hitting metal festival tour. I was fortunate enough to be approved to photograph Gojira and all three of the other bands on the lineup.

Slipknot embarked on a six-week long tour around North America and brought Polish extreme black metal blasphemers Behemoth along with them for the ride. Knotfest Roadshow 2019 was without a doubt the summer’s heaviest-hitting metal festival tour. I was fortunate enough to be approved to photograph Behemoth and all three of the other bands on the lineup.

Concert Review: Le Butcherettes @ MECU Pavilion 8/21/19

Le Butcherettes performing at MECU Pavilion

Le Butcherettes are currently out on a massive summer tour with Devil Makes Three, Flogging Molly, and Social Distortion. The band is extensively touring North American in support of their 4th studio album, bi/MENTAL. Le Butcherettes is a fearless musical force lead by founding member and singer/guitarist/keyboardist Teri Gender Bender. Of course, I was there in the photo pit once again rocking out and taking pictures. As always, Le Butcherettes kicked ass and proved that they are still progressing and are not to be overlooked.
