The Norfolk Tides played against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp at Harbor Park Stadium in Norfolk, Virginia on 5/18/2021. This was the home opener for the Tides after over 200 days away from their home field. I was fortunate enough to obtain a media/photo pass to cover these MiLB teams. However, unfortunately for the home team, Jacksonville took the win. Final score: Jumbo Shrimp 4, Tides 0.

For my first time covering a baseball game, I was fortunate enough to obtain a media/photo pass for the Wilmington Blue Rocks versus the Aberdeen IronBirds at Frawley Stadium in Wilmington, Delaware. These are MiLB teams, but both ball clubs played like they were in the majors. Unfortunately for the home team, the IronBirds took the win. Final score: IronBirds 5, Blue Rocks 3.

The victory, at Segra Field in Leesburg, VA on 4/3/21, was the Arrows’ first of the season. Not the outcome DC was hoping for, but it was a well-played match by Toronto.

For more coverage of the match be sure to check out oldglorydc.com and/or torontoarrows.com.
