Soulfly played a killer set at Soundstage in Baltimore, MD on 2/16/23, and luckily I was there in the photo pit for the first three songs. I’m a long-time fan of Max Cavalera. Lost my shit at this show. The band absolutely destroyed the crowd. Brutal heavy metal music at its finest. Much respect.

Anyway, be sure to check out the official Soulfly Website for music, videos, news, and tickets for all upcoming tour dates. Continue viewing below for more pics from Soundstage in Baltimore, MD on 2/16/2023. All images copyright and courtesy of Andy Jillson.

August Burns Red (Photo by Andy Jillson)

August Burns Red played the first show of their tour in front of a packed house at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD last week. The performance was flawless and the band played a mixture of material spanning a 20 year career. The venue was extremely hot and when the band started to play the heat was almost unbearable. The fans were literally burning up.

Anyway, be sure to check out the Official August Burns Red Website, for music, news, and all upcoming tour dates. Continue viewing below for more pics from The Fillmore on 2/15/2023. All images copyright and courtesy of Andy Jillson.

They Might Be Giants (Photo by Andy Jillson)

Alternative rock pioneers They Might Be Giants played for a sold out crowd at Rams Head Live in Baltimore, MD on 12/18/2022. Most of the dates on this tour were sold out, and for good reason. TMBG were celebrating the 40th Anniversary as a band, as well as the release of their 1990 album, Flood. This show honestly felt and sounded like a celebration.

If you were unable to see TMBG in 2022, check the Official TMBG Website for 2023 tour dates. Also be sure to check out TMBG newest album, BOOK. Continue reading below for more pics and my full review. All images copyright and courtesy of Andy Jillson.

The Weekend (Photo by Andy Jillson)

The Weekend put on an out-of-this-world performance at FedEx Field in Landover, MD on 7/30/22. This was a sold-out show and my biggest show to date. This was also one of the most “high-tech” musical productions I’ve seen. I was there on the sidelines (w/ 10 other photographers) doing my best to capture some of the magic, but it was tough. So much chaotic excitement. Only had two songs to take pics and an extremely small space to stand. I had a blast, though!

The “After Hours Til Dawn Tour” is The Weekend’s first-ever stadium tour. Fans had been anxiously awaiting this show. After several delays due to COVID, concert-goers had their redemption. DC. MD, and VA residents were all in attendance. Anyway, in this photo flashback we’re viewing pics of The Weekend. Be sure to check The Weekend’s Official Website for music, news, and all upcoming tour dates. All images copyright and courtesy of Andy Jillson.

Primus (Photo by Andy Jillson)

Primus performed at the Warner Theatre earlier this year and I was there doing my best to document the event (as usual). This is a difficult band to capture due to extremely low-lighting and lots of fog/smoke. The band performed a slew of classic Primus jams to the delightment of the DC crowd. Great show.

Anyway, in this photo flashback we’re viewing images from Primus’ performance at the Warner Theatre in Washington, DC on 5/24/2022. Be sure to check the Official Primus Website for music, news, and upcoming tour dates. All images copyright and courtesy of Andy Jillson. Enjoy!
