Primus have officially set sail on their Rush tribute tour, and I was approved to cover their stop on 8/13/2021 in Spokane, Washington. The band jammed through a great setlist of their own material before performing Rush’s 1977 masterpiece A Farewell to Kings in its entirety.

Anyway, tickets for Primus’ “A Farewell to Kings Tour” can be purchased at primusville.com/#tour. Also be sure to check out the Official Primus Website for music, videos, merch, and all upcoming tour dates. Continue reading below for more information and photos from the show. This tour marks Primus’ first live performances since late 2019, when they opened for Slayer. That’s a long break for this trio. Claypool recently commented, “I personally have been climbing the walls like a shit-house rat and, after my first season off in 30 some odd years, I’m very anxious and excited to stand in front of the microphone with my four string piece of furniture and belt out some girthy ditties to sweaty throngs of punters.”
